Project Healing Waters

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) is dedicated to the emotional and physical rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing. PHWFF was founded in 2005 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. PHWFF uses Fly Tying workshops and Fly Fishing outings as therapies to help participants recover from their physical and emotional injuries.

project_healing_watersDrifters Lodge has been a proud supporter of Project Healing Waters since 2009 and will continue to do so for many years to come. We are proud to donate lodging and guided fishing trips for individuals who have given so much.

In 2016 we helped 13 wonderful men have an amazing time fishing on the Kenai River.

The project’s website is projecthealingwaters.org. The Alaska chapter of Project Healing Waters can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Project-Healing-Waters-Alaska.
