Alaska Vacation Rental Home Away From Home

Most of our visitors come for the unparalleled beauty and fishing that the Kenai River and our area offer, but once here, they soon find that our Alaska fishing cabin options are more like the riverfront cabin they always wish they had.  Our visitors find warmth, relaxation, and spacious accommodations in each Alaska cabin we offer here, always telling us how hard it is to leave.

Here at Kenai River Drifters, we have a number of Alaska cabin choices suitable for just a couple or a crowd.  We can accommodate almost any party, offering:

We offer cabin rentals with TV/DVD/VCR for over 900 movie selections for your viewing pleasure, but you'll really enjoy what the outside has to offer!  Prime Alaska salmon fishing and Alaska rainbow trout on a number of area rivers, such as the Kenai Peninsula, hiking, nightly campfires, riverfront  Swedish sauna, rafting, white water rafting, horseback riding, and much, much more!  Something for everyone in the great Alaskan outdoors!    

In addition, we offer a number of 'extras' like nightly campfires and riverfront sauna, breakfast by Carrol, and many other little comforts and services that make Drifters Lodge a unique Alaska Lodge!

If you've been looking for the right cabin rental in Alaska, we believe we are the one!  Few others can offer the combination of natural beauty, recreational access, and comfortable accommodations that we can.  Explore our site, map out the activities you would like to do while you are here, and fall in the love with the place we hope you'll be staying.  We truly look forward to hearing from you and better still—to meeting you!  And as always, please contact us with any questions, concerns, or accommodation needs.  

Cabins 1, 2 & 3:  All three of the cabins are the same configuration.  They are two stories and each one has a great view of the Kenai River and the Chugach Mountains from the windows and a small stream in the back  which can  be seen from the back deck.  The cabins are about 480 sq/ft each and sleep from five to six people.   Upstairs you will find  a small TV/VCR/DVD player which can be used  with the 900+ DVD’s and VCR tapes provided free in the lodge library.

Downstairs:  Each cabin has a private bathroom with a corner shower, sink, toilet and yes hot and cold running water.  The new mini kitchenettes have 2 stove top burners, sink and dorm sized refrigerator. The main floor has a coffee maker with all the fixings, plates, utensils, microwave, paper towel dispenser and a small set of pots and pans.  Also in the main living area there is a futon sofa that folds out to a double bed that could sleep two people.   There is a front covered deck and a sliding door at the back of the cabin allows access to the covered back deck.  The staircase leads to the upstairs.

Upstairs: Each of the cabins has one queen bed that looks out the big picture window at the river and mountains.  Upstairs also has a twin bed plus a chair in front of the window that folds out to a twin bed.  Four people can sleep upstairs.  All the bedding is supplied and on the main beds (queen and twin beds upstairs the other bedding is also provided).

Cabin 4:    Located closest to the river and the campfire, cabin 4 is Handicap accessible and very popular.  A quick note here as there are usually guests at the campfire until midnight and although the guests are almost always considerate of their proximity to the cabin it may be a determining factor.

The cabin is about 438 sq/ft so it is not the largest but it can accommodate up to 8 people.  We advise your party to be very friendly as it will be tight.

Downstairs: The main floor has a coffee maker with all the fixings, plates, utensils, microwave, paper towel dispenser and a small set of pots and pans.  Also in the main living area there is a futon sofa that folds out to a double bed that can sleep two people.  The private bath has a handicap accessible shower with hold bars and toilet.  The kitchen area has a sink 2 burner stove and small refrigerator.  In the small living area you will find A small table and 3 chairs, a small TV/VCR/DVD player which can be used  with the 900+ DVD’s and VCR tapes provided free in the lodge library.  There is a covered front deck.

 

Cabins 5 and 6 are two storys and sleep six.  They are identical and are the largest cabins at about 580 square feet. These two story cabins have great views of the Kenai River and Chugach mountains.  The top floor has two large picture windows with two queen beds separated by the staircase with a half pony wall between them.  (see inside pictures)  A small TV that works with the 900+ DVD’s and VCR tapes provided free in the lodge library is also located upstairs.   The main floor has a coffee maker with all the fixings, small table with chairs, microwave, small refrigerator and a two burner cook top stove with a sink.  (see inside pictures)  The main floor also has a full size fold out futon sleeper used as the couch in the living room.  The private bath on the main floor includes a sink, toilet and glass shower enclosure.

 

The Eagles Nest sleeps 6 and is located on the second floor above the main office of the lodge.  It is about 400 square feet and is our only accommodation that has a bedroom with a door for privacy. The bedroom has a queen bed and a closet. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and a glass enclosed shower. The kitchen is equipped with a full size stove including an oven, sink, microwave, coffee maker with all the fixings, small table with chairs and small refrigerator.  The small TV in the living area works with the 900+ DVD’s and VCR tapes provided free in the lodge library.  The living area has a full size fold out futon sleeper used as the couch plus a set of bunk beds. There is a great view of the mountains from the windows and it use to have a great view of the river but the trees grew can you imagine that.
