Lodge Rooms
Rooms in the River House
You may book individual rooms in the River House. These single room rentals are great for singles and couples. There are 5 rooms to choose from. Each has a slightly different layout, but all are comfortably furnished with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot, and all the fixings.
The main floor of the house has three bedrooms: Rainbow 1, Rainbow 2 and Rainbow 3. There are two full bathrooms shared between these rooms. The top floor of the house has two larger bedrooms: the King and Silver rooms. These two rooms share one bathroom and a deck area. Please see the room floor plans for bed layouts.
As part of your room rental, you will have shared access to the living spaces in the house. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all located on the main floor.
Rainbow Rooms 1,2, & 3
Main floor rooms
Rainbow Rooms 1 – 3 are located on the main floor of the River House in a closed hallway off the living and dining area. All three rooms can be rented together or separately. They share two spacious bathrooms.
Rainbow Room 1
This is the largest Rainbow Room, and it’s the only one that has a private entry from the outside. It also has a small private deck off the back of the house accessible through a sliding glass door. The deck overlooks a creek and woods on the property. It has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds, as well as a small refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee pot with all the fixings. The connecting door to the hallway allows use of the shared bathrooms
Rainbow Room 2
Rainbow Room 2 is accessed through the River House living and dining room. It has a full bed and a set of bunk beds, a coffee maker with all the fixings, a microwave and a small refrigerator are also available in the room. The shared bathrooms are across the hall.
Rainbow Room 3
Rainbow Room 3 is accessed through the River House living/dining room. It is the smallest of the three Rainbow Rooms, with a twin bed and a set of bunk beds, it also has a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker with all the fixings. The bathrooms are located directly across the hallway.
King Room
Two to four person room
Sleeps 2 comfortably, but will sleep up to 4. The King Room, the largest room, with its queen bed and set of bunk beds, has great views of the river and mountains through the trees. The King Room can be accessed from either the dining room or the exterior door into the hallway. It has a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with all the fixings. A small table with chairs is also in the room.
The shared bathroom (with the Silver Room) has a lockable door and is located directly across the hall. The bathroom has a corner shower stall, toilet and sink. The deck, which is exclusively for the use of your party, offers great views of the mountains and Kenai River. The deck is located directly above Rainbow Room 1, so please be aware, there may be people sleeping below.
Silver Room
Upper Level Room
The Silver Room can be accessed from both the dining room and the second story, outside deck-entrance, which is shared by the King Room. It has a great view of the river and mountains along with a satellite dish. The Silver Room has both a queen and twin bed to complement its great view. Also available for guest use are a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker with all the fixings. The shared bathroom (with the King Room) has a lockable door and is located down the hall. The bathroom has a corner shower stall, toilet and sink. The deck, which is for the use of your party, offers great views of the mountains and Kenai River. The deck is located directly above Rainbow Room 1, so please be aware, there may be people sleeping below.
Living room
A wall of windows in the living room highlights the incredible river and towering mountain view from the River House. Relax on comfortable couches surrounding our grand fireplace woodstove and take in the serene turquoise waters of the Kenai River at the beginning of its 82 mile journey to the ocean. Take advantage of our games chest, pick a mystery novel or Alaska history book off our ever-expanding bookshelf, or enjoy a drink on the deck looking down over the river.
The Kitchen / Dining areas
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare full meals and make the most of your catch of the day while you stay in the River House. It is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, gas stove/oven and dishwasher. All pots, pans, utensils and basic kitchen appliances are also in the kitchen. Some materials such as spices, tin foil etc are available, just ask the office or our friendly housekeeping staff. Gather for meals and stories around the large dining room table, or head outside to the covered outdoor tables so you can take advantage of beautiful weather. Also, the deck has several BBQs for our guests’ use.
