The award-winning Kenai River Drifter’s Lodge is best known for its breathtaking riverfront location, world-class guides, and premier salmon and trout fishing. You may not realize it until you arrive, but the fine folks at our Alaskan paradise equally pride themselves on providing the best on-site experience possible. We have added a deluxe riverfront sauna for anglers aiming to thaw and unwind after reeling in a boatload of salmon. We also host a nightly communal campfire, even during the summer months when the sun sets at nearly midnight. The dedicated staff provides a hearty continental breakfast for those drifting onto the Kenai River between the hours of 6:30-9 a.m. Our Alaska cabin rentals are equipped with cozy beds, porches, outdoor grills, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and hot water!
Continental Breakfast and Bagged Lunch
Before you head out onto the Kenai River for an incredible day of salmon and trout fishing, you’ll have the opportunity to fuel up with a hearty continental breakfast on the water’s edge. Enjoy a fresh bagel with cream cheese, toast, hard-boiling eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, orange juice, and tea. Each day, you’ll enjoy a simple, yummy bagged lunch on the water in-between strikes.
Riverside Sauna
Many anglers choose to unwind in our riverside sauna upon arrival, especially on a crisp spring or fall evening. The cedar Swedish-style sauna is one of our newest additions here at Kenai River Drifter’s Lodge. Our Swedish sauna will hastily warm your body, slow your breathing, and induce total relaxation. You can see the beautiful teal blue Kenai River and the Chugach Mountains from the massive “picture window.” The sauna is only steps from our Alaska cabin rentals, and it heats up in 5-10 minutes.
Nightly Campfires
One of the best moments of each day here at the Kenai River Drifter’s Lodge is when the sun begins dipping behind the encompassing mountains. Our guests are encouraged to gather around the blazing bonfire each evening to share “war” stories, sip on an ice-cold beer, and roast marshmallows. Visit our Kenai Peninsula paradise in September and October for discounted fishing packages, world-class rainbow trout fishing, and breathtaking stargazing around the campfire!
