Private Cabins
Our private cabins are cozy, rustic, and the perfect place to relax after a full day of fishing or activities on the Kenai Peninsula. If you find it hard to go inside after spending the day immersed in beautiful Alaska scenery, don’t worry. All cabins have spectacular river and mountain views.
Drifters cabins are fully equipped for all your needs. Each cabin has a sleeping loft, living/dining room, kitchenette unit with a 2-burner stove, mini-fridge, and sink, and a bathroom. The cabins have slightly different floor plans and bed layouts, starting at one queen and two twins. Specific bed layouts are shown in the cabin pages.
As with all our lodging, you will be able to use the riverfront Swedish Sauna with views of the Kenai River and mountains, enjoy the nightly riverside campfire and eat breakfast in the Breakfast Nook.
Cabins 1,2,3
Welcome to Drifters Lodge!
All of our cabins were built with guests like you in mind. Our main goal is to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
Upon entering cabins 1, 2, or 3, you will immediately feel at home. You will notice a beautiful forest behind the cabins, there is a small creek in the forest that also runs behind these cabins, providing a calming and wonderful sound. A sliding glass door leads out back to the porch, which is a great place to relax and enjoy the creek. The private bathroom is located to your left, as you first come inside. The bathroom is stocked with all linens and paper goods you will need during your stay. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and a shower stall. Back in the living room, there is a small but efficient kitchenette. A sink, a dorm sized refrigerator and a two burner stove top.
If there is anything we are missing, do not hesitate to ask one of our helpful staff members. We also have charcoal grills available for your personal use. The living room has a fantastic view down to the campfire area as well as a great view of the Chugach Mountains that surround our lodge. There is a very comfortable couch which folds out to a queen sleeper with fresh linens.
As you head up the stairs, you will notice our walls adorned with beautiful artwork by local artists. Upstairs in the main sleeping area, there is a queen bed and two twin beds. The quilts in all the beds have been handmade by a wonderful local quilting group.
Each of the cabins at Drifters Lodge offers incredible views of the Kenai River from the upstairs room. We are in the “Land of the Midnight Sun”, and in the summer, it is often difficult to get used to all of the sunlight. We have thick drapes for all of the windows to ensure you are able to get a good night’s sleep before your fishing or rafting excursion the next day.

Cabin 4
Handicap Accessible Cabin
Cabin 4 is our handicap accessible cabin and also the closest to the river and campfire pit. The ramp up to the front door is easy for wheelchairs and leads to a nice porch which overlooks the campfire pit and has great views of the Kenai River and the Chugach Mountains. The porch is a great place to sit back and enjoy the sights.
Inside Cabin 4, we have a comfortable couch that will fold into a queen sleeper, with fresh linens. All windows have thick drapes that will help you get a good night sleep before your big day of fishing on the Mighty Kenai River. There is a small refrigerator in the living area in Cabin 4. We also have a nice table right by the window, providing a spot to play games at night or to sit at and enjoy the beautiful views that surround us.
On the main floor, there is a queen bed, providing a very comfortable place for our guests in wheelchairs or who have difficulty with stairs, to rest their heads. The bathroom is also on the main floor. The shower is easily accessible for wheelchairs, with metal handrails in the shower to help you out. All linens and paper goods are provided in the bathrooms. Fresh towels are available upon request, we try our best to conserve water and this is a small but useful way to help. Our bathrooms have a toilet and a shower. Right next to the bathroom, there is a kitchenette, providing a sink and a two burner stovetop. The counter is at wheelchair level and is also open below, so all can access the cooking area and sink. All dishes, utensils, linens and paper goods are provided in the kitchenettes.
If there is anything we are missing, do not hesitate to ask one of our helpful staff members. All cabins come with their own gas grill for your personal use. Up a steep set of stairs, you will find a cozy sleeping room with four twin beds. Each has a handmade quilt, providing warmth and a homey feel. For a family with young kids, this cabin is ideal. Kids love the sleeping area upstairs.

Cabins 5, 6
Larger Cabins
Cabins 5 & 6 are our largest cabins at around 600 square feet, with two queens and two twins. Each cabin has a front porch, granting views of the Kenai River and incredible Cooper Landing scenery.
Entering Cabins 5 & 6, you will see a private bathroom to your right. All linens and paper goods are provided in the bathrooms. A hot shower is a great way to warm up after a successful day fishing the Kenai. Our bathrooms have a shower stall, a toilet and a sink. We have a dining table in the living room, providing a spot to play games at night or enjoy meals. Our kitchenettes have a small refrigerator, a sink and a two burner stove top. All dishes, utensils, linens and paper goods are provided in the kitchenettes. If there is anything we are missing, do not hesitate to ask one of our helpful staff members. We also have a gas grill available for your personal use. Our comfortable couches will fold out at night into a queen sized sleeper. All linens are provided.
Heading upstairs, you will notice our walls are decorated with beautiful art from local artists. In the sleeping area, the first thing that will stand out is the exquisite view of the Kenai River. It is truly breathtaking. There are two queen beds and two twin beds in this area. We have thick drapes to help you sleep during the night, even when the sun stays out until after bedtime in the summertime.
Our beds are very comfortable and warm. We have beautiful and colorful handmade quilts on each bed at the lodge that are sure to make you feel right at home.

Eagle’s Nest
One Bedroom Apartment
This is a one bedroom apartment above our main office. Mountain views, no river view. This apartment is the furthest from the campfire, and the river. The location directly above the office and at the top of the driveway makes it susceptible to noise early in the morning, however, if you are fishing or an early riser, you shouldn’t notice.
There is private bedroom with a memory foam topped queen bed; a door separates this room from the rest of the apartment. In the living room/kitchen there is a set of bunk beds and a futon that folds out into a full sized bed. All bedding is provided. The Eagle’s Nest has a full kitchen, all utensils are provided. It has a stove, refrigerator, sink, microwave and coffee maker. This apartment also has a private bathroom.
