Drifters Lodge is a small, locally-owned and operated lodge in Cooper Landing, Alaska. We pride ourselves in providing guests with comfortable, clean and friendly lodging in a pristine Alaskan wilderness environment. Surrounded by the Chugach National Forest, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the Kenai River, you will experience the best Alaska has to offer in scenery and wildlife. Wildlife sightings are normal in this area and the scenery is breathtaking. Although we do have an occasional bear wander through the Drifters Lodge property, it is not an everyday occurrence. Bears are not a problem here at the lodge, so please do not be alarmed by this, as this is Alaska.

Drifters Lodge has a NO PETS POLICY. Sorry, but there are no pets allowed in the cabins or River House at any time.

Drifters Lodge has a variety of different accommodations to meet your needs. We have private cabins and a larger River House. Cabins are perfect for couples, small families and groups of up to four. The River House is ideal for larger groups: corporate retreats, family reunions, and big groups of fishing buddies have all called the River House their home away from home.

As a guest of Drifters Lodge, you are welcome to use all of the amenities we offer. Join us for our Continental Breakfast each morning, hang out by the nightly riverside campfire (we provide marshmallows!), and unwind in our riverfront Swedish Sauna with a picture window overlooking the Kenai River and mountains.

Give us a call in the office to check rates and availability.

Nightly Riverside Campfire

All guests of Drifters Lodge are welcome and encouraged to join the nightly campfire at the river’s edge. You’ll enjoy the company of guests from all over the world, and you can share a story, toast a marshmallow or just sit and take in the tranquil view.

On perfect summer evenings, the sinking sun bathes the river and mountains in a magical glow. You’ll be stunned by the peace and beauty surrounding you as sparks drift upward into the immense Alaskan sky.

Our campfire will be a memorable addition to your journey in Alaska. Kids always get the biggest kick out of helping our staff light the campfire, so send them down to the fire pit around 6pm and they can help our friendly staff light the fire!

Continental Breakfast

Drifter’s Lodge offers a continental breakfast served daily right on the banks of the Kenai River. Many of our guests tell us how much they enjoy their morning cup of coffee in the bright, peaceful Breakfast Nook while looking out over the water.

We have a great spread of foods to fuel your day. Fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels & cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, and cereal are kept stocked along with coffee, tea, juice and milk.

Breakfast is available as early as you need it, so you can be ready for early morning fishing trips. Breakfast ends at 10:30 am. Start your day in the Breakfast Nook, and be ready for a day of fun and adventure on the Kenai Peninsula.

Riverside Sauna

All Drifters Lodge guests are invited to unwind in our riverfront cedar Swedish Sauna after a day of fishing, rafting, hiking and other adventures. Head down to a quiet corner of the property, where the sauna is perched over the banks of the Kenai River, with a picture window to take in the view. Warm and relax your body while you gaze over the turquoise waters of the river and towering mountains.

We supply towels and soothing eucalyptus oil to enhance the experience. The sauna is always available, and heats up in about 10 minutes.
